Tacticool, why is it called that?

To me a tactical rifle is one that is heavier and stronger than a standard rifle so that it can have various things added like a bull barrel, large scope, light, bipod, laser etc. But still be light enough to be able to carry for long distances.

It must be durable and be able to be used on a daily basismiles from a gunsmith as well as being reliable. It must be able to be dragged through country that would turn a normal rifle into junk.

It also needs to have adjustability so that it can be used by anyone else as the need arises.

To me, tactical is a term that should be applied for a piece of equipment based on it’s suitability for the task at hand…

This. /\ Lol

It’s a marketing thing.

But in essence ppl watching movies and see the sniper with a black looking traditional gun, want something similar. Plus tactical guns can be modified which all the cool kids love.

And seeing currently it’s in fashion so its tacticool
