Usually they get recycled. But I do have the very first round of shame I’ve ever made. For that exact reason.

Been catching up on some rifle reloading and load development… And while I had 2207 out, I thought I might as well make some development loads with 150gr projies for my Rugger commie in 7.62x39.
Pretty.
Seriously, creeping into favourite rifle territory this gun. Mostly because of the cartridge. Super fun to shoot, enough oomph and a tone of cheap Chiense plinking ammo I snapped up a while ago. What’s not to love.

Scored this off SSAA gunsales, for $112 posted. I thought it was a bargain. Its perfect condition, anyone else use one? Or am i too old…
Perhaps your too old or it could be me. Is it a case length trimer. It looks like it flares the mouth of cases with those different size flare dies.
They are pilots to centre cases when trimming… I use a similar one, but I’ve swapped the handle for a bolt to use a drill instead of manually cranking the handle.
But how does that work the end I trim is the case mouth. How do you do that if there is a insert there.
As @juststarting said, they are simply pilots that guide, or centre the case for trimming to set length. Its a ripper, might get the power adapter for it as @juststarting also has done. I really like the clever universal case collet
