Nah, a bot created 160+ users and posted shit. Thankfully managed to clean it all out very quickly. I mean, worst case scenario I would have restored from backup… But I’d rather not, I have better things to do.
Bloody bots!! ![]()
Thanks again mate!
Just wondering if anyone here has dealt with Andrew Hepner & Sons Fine Guns in Geelong? I’m just curious what they’re like as I can’t find too much about them or a website when I try the google machine.
He and I have friends in common, I haven’t personally done business with him, but I’ve not heard a bad word said about him in Geelong gun circles.
Sweet thanks mate, they’ve got something I’m interested in on Ozgunsales so I’ll give him a call today. It just struck me as odd that the store has no website or digital footprint so thought I’d ask.
He trades from home and by appointment only. I don’t think he needs the money, I think he’s just doing it for the love of guns.
He definitely has some nice guns for sale, seems like he’s got a bit of a fetish for higher end big game guns. He’s got some shoulder rattling calibres that’s for sure
.
Yeah he’s got some cool shit for sure.
Not sure if you’ve seen the pics of the kiln gun I got to shoot years back. That was his and at a big bore shoot.
He seems to go down a rabbit hole of collecting, then sells those off so he can head down another rabbit hole. There’s been the big bores, rook rifles, S&W and Colt and who knows what now.
Yep I remember seeing those photos, that thing was cool. It definitely sounds like he’s got his addiction finely tuned and working well
.
Ill give hepner one thing his condition reports are spot on . And has a lot more cool stuff than you could imagine . Always been easy to deal with wich is nice . And if you like big bore stuff he is probably one of the best I’ve ever found in Victoria
Just putting this here so I can find it later and have a fuck around.
Very interesting series of vids of how Damascus barrel were made and trying to replicate it.
Do you guys have any tips for dealing with leeches?
Been hiking a little with friends in the Gippslands recently, and the cheeky buggers are persistent.
One of my friends had one manage to climb up inside his pants despite a tightly tied cuff.
I have a tip ![]()
…salt maybe. Honestly though, he’s a gonner, finish him off.
Don’t think there’s much you can do except cover up. I keep a lighter handy to remove them and a stack of bandaids.
@Tempestman Just keep a cig lighter on you (it’s easier to carry than salt), gently pull them out by the tail and burn the little fuckers, they’ll let go of you straight away and then you can proceed to give them their final cremation.
There is a frontline flee and tick spray (from a pet shop) spray a bit of that around any entry points to your clothing, on your boots etc.
I use it sometimes for tick protection out bush, I can’t imagine leeches would wanna touch it either
Thanks for the tips guys. I’ll be sure to carry a lighter next time.
