I realise that there might be some bias here, but I need a recommendation on the best VIC shooters union around, as my SSAA renewal just came in the mail. Main reason I’m with them is me being local to their Eagle Park shooting range that goes out to 500m TBH.
No bias mate, tool for purpose. If you want a little extra insurance and you can make the membership discount work for you, it’s a good tool for the task. Just estimate how many times you’re at Eagle Park, how much discount you get, etc.
I’m just not all that impressed with SSAA right now, just don’t know where else I can go for a 500m range. Every time I go, I’m knocking on the plate at the back, and I’d hate to lose that. Guess I was fishing to see if there’s alternatives.
Well, then go use the range and don’t renew membership. Genuine reason doesn’t have to be tied to SSAA if that’s what you’re asking. You can get a game hunting permit (about $90 a year) or letter of intent to hunt ($15 or $20).
